If you can't find the answer to your question here, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Can I bring my birth partner?

YES!! You are absolutely welcome to bring your birth partner (or somebody else if you wish). However please note this is not essential as sessions always aim to provide a friendly and inclusive environment.

Can I bring more then one birth partner?

Unfortunately due to room size, there is not enough room for everyone to bring more than one birth partner. However please note you do not have to bring the same person with you each week.

Do I have to pay for my birth partner?

Absolutely not!

Is there an obligation to join the group chat?

No. The group chat is set up specifically for the people on your course and is for social purposes. If you don't want to participate that is absolutely fine and you won't miss out on any course content.

Is behind the birth suitable if I want a water birth/home birth?

Yes. We'll cover this in session 1 and 2.

When is the ideal time to take a Behind the Birth course?

I recommend around 30 weeks of pregnancy, but this does not have to be exact.

I'm having an elective caesarean birth, is this class suitable?

While I cover emergency caesarean birth in session 3, I also spend a large proportion of the course discussing labour and vaginal birth. Therefore I wouldn't recommend these classes for you. However, my next goal is to set up a specific course for mums who will be having an elective caesarean birth. This will include what to expect on the big day, recovery and newborn care.
